Previously known as the Saadiyat Marina District, the development was renamed Marsa Al Saadiyat as it entered a defining new stage in the evolution of the island. Marsa Al Saadiyat is being planned as a complete residential community rather than a collection of isolated developments. The masterplan includes three schools, premium healthcare services, community clubhouses, sports facilities and family-oriented public spaces.

A New Cultural and Entertainment District

Etihad Rail and Future Connectivity

Connectivity is a major component of the Marsa Al Saadiyat masterplan. The destination will include a planned underground high-speed Etihad Rail station, providing future connections between Abu Dhabi and other parts of the UAE.

A new network of roads and tunnels will connect Marsa Al Saadiyat with Reem Island and Umm Yifeenah Island, helping to reduce travel times across Abu Dhabi. A dedicated bridge is also planned to connect the development with a new Aldar island located off the coast of Saadiyat.
